What was the brief?
PTHB were in need of an experienced e-learning provider to work with their subject specialists to develop engaging web-based e-learning packages to deliver basic Persistent Pain Awareness training in both English and Welsh. This was intended to support individuals with persistent pain, their families and carers, and the wider community to understand what is meant by persistent pain, and the impact that it may have.
How did we do it?
We built the courses in Adobe Captivate so the client could update the courses themselves in the future, as they have a licence for the software. We took content privided by the client and distilled and developed it in line with the learning objectives to creating a series of four 15-minute engaging courses. The course features new graphics, animations and videos created by us, as well as stock photos we sourced. Videos within the course are a combination of new interviews carried out by us, and re-edits of existing videos filmed by another supplier who we collaborated with. Interactive elements include flashcards, tabbed text, clickable icons and quizzes, resulting in an engaging course divided into 15-minute modules.
The modules are bilingual, and users can switch between English and Welsh within them; we used professional translators to translate the course text content, as well as providing subtitles in Welsh for English language videos and vice versa.

White Hart designed and built a bilingual e-learning course for us in early 2024 aimed at people living with persistent pain. The project was delivered on time and to budget, and the final product exceeded our expectations of what was possible using our desired authoring tool. We enjoyed working with the White Hart team and felt the project was well-managed, with excellent communication throughout the process.
