What was the brief?

Produce an impactful safety-based drama that will challenge unsafe behaviours and promote a safe working environment.

How did we do it?

For the third instalment of the BBVS safety drama series, we focused on an incident that had occurred during a crane lift, where an unsecure load of steel pipes fell from height, narrowly missing a person below. For maximum impact, we used the real CCTV footage captured during the incident. 

For the scenes in which our character interacts with his daughter, filming took place in a house setting. The reenacted lifting scenes were filmed on site at Old Oak Common. While the finished drama is highly impactful and relatable, they also engage the project workforce whilst presenting underlying safety messages and specific learning objectives. After watching, the project workforce will understand what went wrong and what the potential impacts were. Viewers are also able to identify how to avoid similar incidents happening in the future.
